We and our partners launched a community health project in Vinh Long – a province in the Mekong Delta, southern Vietnam. Through health kiosks, real-time data is collected and analysed for early detection and intervention, focusing on monitoring and screening stroke risks.

Project Highlights

The Health kiosks are tailored to serve residents, acting as central hubs for health assessments and triaging cases to higher-level hospitals.

Telehealth Integration: Provide rural residents access to telehealth services with diverse medical devices, enabling remote consultations and immediate healthcare guidance.
Real-time Monitoring: Collect health data and analyse in real-time, using intelligent algorithms to detect abnormalities and notify local doctors for immediate intervention.
Device Connectivity: Integrate with various medical devices to gather extensive health data (heart rate, SpO2, blood pressure, ECG, BMI…)
Flexible Deployment: The kiosks can be quickly set up in various environments, including buildings, pharmacies, factories, and rural villages.

Challenges

Limited access to healthcare: Rural areas had limited healthcare facilities, creating barriers to accessing timely care.
Delayed detection of health risks: Early signs of strokes and other conditions were often missed, leading to higher mortality and morbidity rates.
Lack of Infrastructure: There was no infrastructure in place to collect and analyse health data efficiently or notify medical professionals in real time for interventions.

Medical device connectivity: The kiosks support a range of medical devices to conduct health checks, including heart rate monitoring, blood pressure, ECG, and BMI measurement.
E-prescriptions & remote diagnostics: Local doctors can issue e-prescriptions based on test results and provide remote diagnosis, ensuring that residents receive medical care when needed.
